mdadm - mdadm controls Linux md devices (software RAID arrays)

Website: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/raid/mdadm/
License: GPL
Vendor: Red Hat, Inc.
Description:
mdadm is used to create, manage, and monitor Linux MD (software RAID)
devices. As such, it provides similar functionality to the raidtools
package. However, mdadm is a single program, and it can perform
almost all functions without a configuration file, though a configuration
file can be used to help with some common tasks.

Packages

mdadm-2.6.9-5.el5.src [194 KiB] Changelog by Jes Sorensen (2012-04-05):
- Update the raid-check script to run checks on arrays that are clean
and either 'idle' or 'active' as opposed to just 'idle'. Otherwise
checks will often be missed on arrays that are regularly busy.
- Resolves: bz735803
mdadm-2.6.9-3.el5.src [193 KiB] Changelog by Doug Ledford (2009-11-12):
- If we have more than one array per drive, then the raid-check script will
only check one of the arrays, the others will get skipped. Correct that.
- Resolves: bz523000
mdadm-2.6.9-2.el5.src [192 KiB] Changelog by Doug Ledford (2009-07-25):
- Update the raid-check script to run last, modify script to get config
from sysconfig/raid-check, make sure we don't do a check operation on
a device that doesn't support it, wait for the checks to complete in
order to check the mismatch_count on the devices and notify sysadmin
  if any mismatches were found.
- Resolves: bz513200, bz513473
